After laying a beating on the Philippines, Super Typhoon Melor headed northward toward us here in Japan yesterday. Knowing that it was coming and that all transport services would be closed, we hopped on a train a day earlier than planned and jammed to the safety of the Westin Miyako in Kyoto where we buckled down in comfort to ride out the storm.

Super Typhoon Melor
After laying a beating on the Philippines, Super Typhoon Melor headed northward toward us here in Japan yesterday.
