Friends on the Bund

So we mentioned that Ingrid (and Dan's red hair for that matter) were a hit in Shanghai as they walked the Bund's riverside promenade. Here are the photos to prove it. If only we had taken video so you could have seen the spectacle in action. Between the Chinese people's love for babies and Ingrid having fair skin and huge blue eyes she was appearantly irresistable to the mainland Chinese. Good thing she arrived with bodyguards (Grandma and Grandpa) otherwise she might have been carried away by her fan club. I won't even go into whether or not Grandma and Grandpa were polite with their use of Purell on Ingrid's hands and feet after each crowd encounter. Though our new found adoring friends were sweet as can be we had to continue to make our way down the Bund every time a new group gathered around Ingrid's stroller otherwise the photos and the belly poking wouldn't stop. I keep thinking to myself, we better get this girl out of Asia before she becomes accustomed to this attention or we will have child star syndrome on our hands.
